파크1538은 철강 기업인 포스코 공장 부지에 인접한 포스코의 본사 업무 단지, 기업 메모리얼, 홍보관 공원 등의 프로그램을 통합한 마스터플래닝 프로젝트이다. 1970년도 최초로 조성된 본 사이트의 공간 프로그램들은 포항 제철소라는 공장 중심의 마스터플랜에 의해 계획되었으며, 그간 부분적인 프로그램들의 수용은 있었지만 현 시대가 요구하는 개방적이고 공공적인, 그리고 지속 가능한 자생적 성격의 장소로 탈바꿈하기 위해서는 사이트 전체의 플랜 변화가 필요하였다.
그래서 우리는 각 프로그램들의 지속 가능한 연결과 자생적 활성을 디자인 전략으로 세우고 파크 1538 프로젝트의 마스터플랜을 계획하였다.

Park 1538 is a master plan project integrating programs of POSCO Headquarter Business Complex, Company Memorial, Visitor Center and parks, next to the site of POSCO. It began in 1970s and the space programs were planned via a master plan focusing on POSCO. Though with accommodation in part, it needs to change the whole site plan to convert it open and public as demanded in current era, and, to be sustainable and autogenous. Therefore, we have prepared the Park 1538 Project with the design strategy of sustainable connection of each program and autogenous vitalization.
